In the park strange things are happening.
People in costumes singing ethereal songs.
Bewildering the passers by.
A stage set with a giant bed.
For tomorrow when the sky will be dark and the nearly full Blood Moon will be high.
They are getting ready for the lanterns.
And the lanterns are here.
And beds for the dreamers.
For the door to dreamland has been left ajar…
And stories will happen…
And strange lantern creatures who will come to life.
Because they are getting ready for the lanterns.
Lanterns on the lake…
Lanterns round the lake.
The door to dreamland has been left ajar…
And strange dreams are escaping.
Don’t miss this. Our very own Day of the Dead celebration, happening a little bit early.
Here’s how it might be:
There’ll be 2 parades. One around half five for the little ones. And another after half seven for those of us who can stay up a bit later.
If you are in or near Liverpool, don’t even think of missing this.
Rain is forecast for the daytime tomorrow. But by the evening magic will happen. And the darkness will be dry, and very chilly. Even for those of us who’ve still got our skin on!
