Now updated with August Market photos.
It’s the Granby 4 Streets Market on Saturday 2nd August, in Cairns Street Liverpool 8.
Renovation works have now started in Granby but they won’t get in the way of tomorrow’s market. So see you there? It all starts at 10:30 in the morning.
The guerrilla garden planting in Cairns Street is at the height of its summer loveliness at the moment and if we get some sun tomorrow the market will look like this. So come and see the now saved streets, come and get yourself some bargains, and come and talk to us. About what’s happening, about the 4 Streets Community Land Trust, about getting involved, and – in fact – about anything you like. We love a good conversation. See you tomorrow!
And as it turned out?
Well it didn’t rain quite all the time! And by mid-afternoon as the Market was ending it was positively sunny. Ah well, the vicissitudes of running outdoor events in the English summertime.
But it was splendid anyway, and the guerrilla gardening is looking wonderful, as you’ll see from these pictures of today.
An extraordinary place pulling off an extraordinary thing. Four years the Street Market’s been going now. Four years of peaceful trading, conversations and gardening. Four years that have changed everything for these Four Streets, that have given them a future.
More about what’s happening, who’s doing what and getting involved here.
