On a foggy night last night I walk through the streets of Anfield. On my way to somewhere familiar, but with everywhere looking unfamiliar with the fog anyway and also because some of my usual routes are closed off for now because of this.

This is the huge new stand being built at Liverpool FC’s ground. Six o’clock on a foggy Monday night and no sign yet of the works stopping for the day.On a sunny day at the moment you can see this being built from across the river in New Brighton. Tonight I can’t see all of it from right in front of me as it reaches up into the black dark night sky.

I thread through the alleyway off Rockfield Road to Walton Breck Road.

We could, and have, debated the pros and cons of all of this for years. But huge change is now here. This really is Anfield in November 2015 and where I’m going we’re all working on how some of this change works out for the people of Anfield.

And brick by brick we are building ourselves.
All of this year we’ve been working like this. And you can read much more about the details of what we’re for and what we’re doing elsewhere on this website and of course on Homebaked’s own site.
For now we’re deep in the design detail of what we’d like to build. Over the road from the great football ground, but by no means in its shadow.

And it’s important that the people of this place are a big part of their own future.
your thoughts, comments and photos are always very good. I enjoy your work.
Thank you, glad you enjoy it all.
