In North Liverpool I’m involved at the moment in helping to make one the most exciting ideas I’ve heard about in a good while, a maker space called Make Liverpool.

This will be a space where you’ll be able to join and come and make whatever it is you make with the tools they’ll have and also, if you want, rent office space and be part of a whole community making things and being part of a thriving new economy for North Liverpool.

But it’s been empty for the last ten years.

The next door neighbours are Kazimier’s new Invisible Wind Factory here. The Liverpool Lantern Company are nearby. Plus a load of other local traders in things like heating equipment, who Make Liverpool are going to need to trade with.

The group of us are part of a programme of possibilities called The Beautiful Ideas, which I was part of launching and explaining late last year.

Invite only and already fully booked I’m glad to say. But you’ll get lots more chances to come and visit and be part of it soon.

Make Liverpool will opening for business this summer. I’ll be letting you know when they’re ready enough to start takiing enquiries.
For now, know this. The new from the ground up economy of North Liverpool is on its way. And I’m so glad to be a part of helping it to happen.
More on The Beautiful Ideas here and at their website.
Will you need any electrical work doing?
Definitely will, though not just yet. I’m not doing the organising of the building though, just the event we’re running in it next week.
Absolutely will at some point soon :)
