We’re a new company, set up to find people decent homes to live in by working with the owners of the many empty homes in Liverpool to help you get your properties ready to be lived in again. Not a charity, no public funding, but what we think of as a good idea to bring in the investment we think empty home owners might need to get your homes lived in again.
You might have inherited the now empty home from a relative, or bought it yourself some years ago. Either way, in these difficult times, you don’t have the money right now to do what might be the relatively small amount of works needed to attract new tenants. If so, we might be able to help you out of your difficulty and find the new tenants for you as well.
The way it works is you get in touch with us and we’ll come and see you and the empty property. We’ll discuss your individual needs and agree on a plan to move it forward, investing our money into your house, and organise whatever works are needed. At the same time we’ll find the people who are going to live in the house, so they can know where they will be Coming Home to. Then we’ll get the works all carried out and turn your empty home into a real home.
Interested? Then get in touch and we can come and see you and explain more about how it could work for you.
There’s more here about who we are, our backgrounds and experience and the aims of Coming Home Liverpool. As Directors we bring a great amount of experience and commitments to our work on people’s homes and, in the end want to get all of the 4,500 long-term empty homes in Liverpool ready to be lived in again. In the first place we will be selecting houses and their owners in North Liverpool, basically everywhere on the north side of Edge Lane, such as Anfield, Everton, Walton and so on. While working closely with Liverpool City Council’s empty homes team, we are not ourselves a public service. We’re a Liverpool enterprise and we want to help.
