Autumn arrives quietly, like it does
When summer is over,
Cutting back to be done
As growth slows down
And all the children go back to school.
Autumn arrives quietly like a friend
Coming round
To talk endings and die back,
While beginnings arrive
And all the children go back to school.
Autumn arrives quietly, like it does
And I smile,
Sat reading in the shed, in the rain,
As autumn arrives.
Thank you Allan Jenkins for ‘Plot 29 a memoir.’ Which I read here on Plot 44 in Liverpool as autumn arrived. Recommended forĀ gardeners and other people.
