Since the late days of March to this early October
We have sat here, you and I listening to Elizabeth Alker, on Saturday mornings,
Play her Saturday sounds, the known and unknown.
And even once sending her the rain on our polytunnel,
That sound of the lockdown, one Saturday morning.
Elizabeth Alker playing some Erland Cooper,
Vivaldi, Anna Meredith and so many others,
The known and unknown
These Saturday mornings,
Since the late days of March
To this early October.

Written on Saturday morning, 3rd October 2020. While listening to Elizabeth Alker’s morning programme on BBC Radio Three and the previous Thursday’s ‘Unclassified’ programme of music and poetry called ‘Contains Strong Language.’
